What to expect on the day

Arriving early

Please arrive on time for your session at The Little Village. Our play sessions begin promptly, and early entry isn’t available as our team needs this time to reset, clean, and prepare the space for the next group of families. If you arrive early, we kindly ask that you wait outside the entry doors in the mall area until your session start time. Thank you for helping us keep the village safe, clean, and ready for everyone to enjoy.

Toilets & nappy change

There are no toilets located within the village itself. Public toilets are available just a one-minute walk away — simply turn right as you exit the village and follow the path around the centre.

We do have a dedicated nappy change area inside the village, located next to the Boujee Baby Corner. Complimentary supplies are available, along with a hand-washing basin for families to use throughout the session.

Pack-up time

Around 10 minutes before the end of each session, we’ll ring a bell and play our pack-up song. This is our gentle cue for families and little ones to help return toys to their original rooms.

We don’t expect anything to be perfectly staged — just a team effort to return items to the right space. Encouraging children to help pack away is a small but important part of learning responsibility and care for shared spaces.

Prams

Space inside the village is limited, so we kindly ask families to avoid bringing prams inside where possible.

Capsules and baby carriers are very welcome for young babies, and we have several clean, comfortable baby areas where little ones can be placed down for floor play or tummy time.

Finishing up

At the end of your session, we kindly ask families to exit promptly. The village closes between sessions so we can clean, reset, and prepare the space for the next group of little explorers.

Shoes & socks

To help keep the village clean and comfortable for walkers and crawlers, we are a shoes-off, socks-on space. Please remember to bring socks for both children and adults.

If you or your child are unable to remove shoes, shoe covers are available on request. This helps us keep the space hygienic and welcoming for everyone.

Food & drinks

To help maintain a safe and welcoming environment, outside food and drinks aren’t permitted during your visit.

The Little Café offers:

  • Simple, nourishing, kiddo-friendly menu

  • Locally sourced coffee and snacks

  • No complicated menus — just delicious tasty food!

If your child has specific medical or dietary requirements, please contact us ahead of your visit so we can discuss appropriate arrangements.

Thanks for helping us keep The Little Southern Village calm, clean and enjoyable for all families.

Disability-Friendly & Inclusive Play

The Little Southern Village is designed to be accessible and wheelchair friendly, with open pathways and flexible play spaces. For families who like to plan ahead and children who prefer visual aids, we offer a “What to Expect at The Little Southern Village” handbook.

It walks through how sessions run, what the space looks like and what a visit might feel like.

Sessions are limited to keep the village calm and enjoyable. Bookings are essential.
